Description: |
The Fundamental Quantum Science Division of Tsung-Dao Lee Institute (TDLI) invites applications for T. D. Lee Postdoctoral Fellowship starting immediately. Located in Shanghai, the most international city of China, TDLI is an international institute aiming to host world-leading scientific researches and activities. The initial appointment is for 3 years, with possible extension up to 6 years based on mutual agreement. The postdoctoral fellow is encouraged to work independently, in collaboration with faculty members and visitors of TDLI. Successful candidates are expected to conduct outstanding theoretical or experimental research in the fields of: • Unconventional and topological superconductivity • Quantum transport in low-dimensional systems • Quantum magnetism, quantum phase transitions • Nonequilibrium physics in bulk and molecular quantum materials • Ultra-cold gases, quantum optics, and quantum information • Quantum many-body structure and their manipulation • Casimir effect The fellowship offers 312K RMB of annual salary with health insurance, and an annual research grant of 50,000 RMB. Application materials includes CV, research statement, and three recommendation letters. Tsung-Dao Lee Institute (TDLI) was founded in November 2016, following the proposal of Professor Tsung-Dao Lee (Nobel Prize in Physics 1957), to promote fundamental science and to provide a platform for international scientific communications and collaborations. TDLI aims to become a world-leading research institute in Physics and Astronomy. Currently, the institute is developing frontier research programs in the fields of Quantum Science and Technology, Particle & Nuclear Physics, and Astronomy & Astrophysics. English is the working language at the institute. Further information about the TDLI can be found at http://tdli.sjtu.edu.cn.
