Position Description: |
The successful candidate will mainly work with Prof. Yi-Ting Hsu on various aspects of emergent phenomena in quantum manybody systems, including topological phases, unconventional superconductivity, Moire physics, quantum dynamics (including non-Hermitian systems), and machine-learning applications to condensed matter problems. The individual will be encouraged and have opportunities to collaborate with local theoretical and experimental condensed matter groups, including faculty in the new Stavropoulos Center for Complex Quantum Matter led by Prof. Forro. Notre Dame condensed matter groups maintain close ties to neighboring institutions in Chicago and the greater Michigan-Illinois-Indiana region and Argonne national lab. This position is for two years with possible one-year extension upon mutual agreement.
