Faculty position: Statistical Geneticist The UMass Chan Medical School in Worcester, MA, seeks to fill a faculty position within the department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, and invites applicants for the position at the Assistant Professor level. Description of position and requirements:
Primary responsibility will be to conduct statistical genetic analyses of large datasets within the department and other publicly available datasets. Analyses will include gene discovery as well as functional genomic analyses. The successful candidate will have a PhD in statistical genetics, quantitative genetic epidemiology, computational biology, functional genomics, or a related field. Must have experience in analyzing large-scale human genotyping and sequencing datasets using state of the art computer software programs, with publications in the field. Excellent English communication skills and collaborative teamwork essential.
