The Language and Educational Analytics Research (LEAR) Lab housed in the Department of Special Education in the Peabody College of Education and Human Development is seeking to hire a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work in the National Science Foundation AI Institute for Adult Learning and Online Education (AI-ALOE). The research associate will work with faculty, staff, and students at Vanderbilt University. The research associate will help develop an intelligent textbook framework and lead other aspects of the project including text and learner analytics, human computer interaction, and project evaluation. The research associate will contribute to artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) applications in education settings, attend weekly project meetings, conduct data collection, analyze data, write scientific papers, and help train and mentor undergraduate and graduate students. The research associate will work as part of a diverse, supportive, and collaborative team that includes nationally recognized universities, corporate partners, and technical colleges. Preferred Hiring Qualifications: • Doctoral Degree in computer science, learning sciences, or related field • Experience with: Front-end development, Cloud-based software development, Database management, REST APIs, Learning engineering, Learning analytics • Proficiency in: Javascript/Typescript, HTML/CSS, Python |
