Position Description

Permanent, full-time faculty positions are available from early career Lecturers through to and including Full Professor with track records of academic excellence and teaching, high quality publications in esteemed international peer-review journals and proven ability to attract research grants.

We are seeking research active colleagues excited by the prospect of using economic methods, analysis and tools to address the major environmental challenges facing humanity in the 21st Century including: climate change; biodiversity loss; the trade-offs between land use, food and the environment across any ecosystem; environment related welfare and distribution challenges; and many others. We are looking for colleagues to add to, extend or complement innovative interdisciplinary research bringing economic analysis together with natural, physical, and social science to develop and apply data driven solutions to challenges in integrated environment-economy modelling, environmental valuation, biodiversity economics, environmental economic regulation and mechanism design, agricultural and environmental economics, applied environmental econometrics, spatial and dynamic environmental economic analyses, trade and the environment, environmental resource management, natural capital accounting, sustainability and related decision making.

A desire to deliver academic excellence in research and teaching (where relevant to the role) is essential. An interest in collaborating with colleagues by either deepening existing expertise or expanding and complementing the breadth of our team and research programme would be welcome.

In addition, an interest in working with government and business enhancing the incorporation of the environment within decision making and delivering substantial real-world impact would also be advantageous.
