Overview: 

The LaBar lab at Duke University (https://dibs-web01.vm.duke.edu/labar/index.html) seeks a talented Associate in Research to execute human subjects research on the cognitive neuroscience of emotion. 

The position is supported by NIH-funded grants on emotion regulation and computational approaches to emotion representation in the brain. State-of-the-art facilities include multimodal psychophysiological recording and fMRI scanning on research-dedicated 3T MRI scanners. 

This position will involve coordination of all facets of human subjects research in the lab. Duties include participant recruitment, IRB protocol submission, running research participants on behavioral, neuroimaging, and psychophysiological experiments, organizing team meetings, supply maintenance, database management, and computer programming/statistical analysis.

Qualifications: 

Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in any area of cognitive neuroscience broadly defined (e.g., Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related field) are welcome to apply. Ideal candidates have prior experience in human subject experimentation and some exposure to neuroimaging, computer programming, or psychophysiology. The ideal candidate should possess good communication, organizational, and quantitative skills. 

This is a full time, grant funded position, eligible for all Duke benefits (https://hr.duke.edu/benefits) with an initial appointment of one year with the possibility of renewal, dependent on funding and performance.
