| SISSA, the Scuola Internazionale Superiore di Studi Avanzati in Trieste, invites expressions of interest for a faculty position at tenure track level from outstanding scientists in the early stage of their career, active in the development of machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms to molecular simulations, computational condensed-matter and materials science. The successful applicant will be part of SISSA’s ongoing and growing efforts in condensed matter, molecular simulations, and machine learning. SISSA is the largest graduate school in Italy. The scholarships of the PhD students are entirely funded by the school budget, and PI positions are offered together with a starting grant including at least the salary for one post doc. The working environment is truly international. English is the standard language used for any scientific activity. Researchers currently employed outside of Italy may benefit from a fiscal exemption of 5-12 years according to Italian law. We will favor profiles with a strong theoretical background and an interdisciplinary CV at least partially focused on machine learning and artificial intelligence.
