Renewal will be based on performance and the needs of the department.

As part of the university-wide First-Year Writing Seminars program administered by the John S. Required qualifications are a PhD in English language and literature or similar literary field and experience teaching writing and modern literature and poetry at the undergraduate level. Candidates should have experience developing syllabi and teaching as the instructor of record on these topics.
