Position Description

The Department of Chemistry at Temple University invites applications for an Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Instruction position. We are interested in hiring faculty that will help us further extend the quality, depth, and breadth of our curriculum and contribute their leadership in advancing our educational mission. Applicants should have a commitment to promoting student engagement and implementing evidence-based instructional strategies that have been shown to be effective for teaching and mentoring diverse groups of students. An ideal applicant will have a PhD degree in chemistry (or a related discipline), and prior experience teaching chemistry courses. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in organic chemistry who have an additional interest in teaching in the general education program and the post-baccalaureate pre-health program.

This position is a non-tenure track 9-month academic appointment with a renewable multi-year contract. Temple University offers competitive salaries and excellent benefits.
