Post-Doctoral Fellow in Cell & Molecular Biology of DNA Double Strand Break Repair in Cancer
The Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is a leader in cutting-edge cancer research, dedicated to improving patient outcomes through innovative scientific discoveries. Our NIH-funded laboratory is seeking a highly motivated and talented Post-Doctoral Fellow to contribute to our research in the field of cell and molecular biology of DNA double strand break repair in cancer. Responsibilities As a Post-Doctoral Fellow, you will work closely with our dynamic research team to investigate DNA repair mechanisms in cancer. Key responsibilities include: • Conducting molecular and cell biology assays in both human and mouse cell lines. • Performing cell culture, transfection, and other cell-based experiments. • Executing DNA repair assays and data analysis. • Employing cell imaging techniques to visualize cellular processes. • Conducting western blotting and utilizing NGS (Next-Generation Sequencing). • Utilizing various relevant techniques to advance our research. • Experience with drug screening and high throughput assays is a valuable asset. Qualifications
Successful candidates should possess the following qualifications: • A Ph.D. in a related field (e.g., Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry). • Strong expertise in molecular and cell biology techniques. • Proficiency in cell culture, transfection, DNA repair assays, cell imaging, western blotting, NGS,
and other relevant laboratory techniques. • A track record of scientific productivity, as evidenced by publications or other scientific achievements. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
