Open Rank Teaching Faculty Position in Mechanical Engineering
& Mechanics
The Department of Mechanical Engineering & Mechanics (MEM)
invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track teaching faculty
position in Mechanical Engineering to start January 2024. Lehigh has multiple
ranks for teaching faculty, and the successful candidate will be hired into a
rank commensurate with their experience. Candidates must hold an MS/PhD in
Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or a directly related field before
starting employment.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach core
courses in thermal sciences such as thermodynamics, heat transfer, renewable
energy, energy conversion processes, and elective courses in their areas of
interest. Teaching faculty may also advise undergraduate students and
participate in departmental service. The successful candidate will create
opportunities for broadening participation and support an inclusive and
equitable environment in which a diverse student body can thrive.
