Position Description:    

Boston University’s Department of Mass Communication, Advertising & Public Relations seeks an Associate Professor of the Practice, non-tenured track, in Advertising Account Management. 
With an abiding belief that diverse perspectives are essential to properly engage and instruct our students, Boston University’s College of Communication (COM) invites applications for a non-tenured Associate Professor of Practice, Advertising. 
We are especially eager to have join our ranks a colleague who supports our institutional commitment to ensuring BU is inclusive, equitable, and diverse place where all constituents can thrive; who have a national reputation in advertising management, with an emphasis in project management and production – having successfully delivered high quality creative work and managed efficient and productive process for major clients/high profile projects.   
Candidates should have a BA/BS in Communication or a related area, with significant professional experience in advertising in a senior leadership project management or production position, preferably in an agency (external/in house) environment.  Ideal candidates bring broad experience and production process understanding – among several agencies/firms and a range of major project asks from advertising campaigns to digital platforms.  Experience in teaching or professional training is valued.  We are seeking true experts in project management process practices – timing/budget/resource /partner management and true passion for delivering high level quality. 

Candidates for this position will have the potential to teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses, such as “Advertising Management” or potentially new courses with focus on project management/production best practices.  Candidate should also have the range to cover more general courses such as “Introduction to Advertising.”  Duties include teaching three courses per semester, student advising, and participation in departmental committees.
