We are actively seeking a Research Associate at The Kenan Institute for Ethics at Duke University.

This position will provide comprehensive program support to a portfolio of faculty who are developing and leading programs, some anchored in the Institute and some collaborative efforts between the Institute and departments and schools in the University. Aid in the development, coordination, and administration of these programs, including, as a priority, programs related to new and developing projects in a Native American Studies Initiative.

Duties include: • Plan, develop, and coordinate co-curricular programs and events • Plan, develop, and coordinate curricular offerings • Prepare operational reports on behalf of faculty leads • Conduct research to facilitate program development • Map synergies with existing Duke programs • Map similar programs at other universities • Develop translational materials to disseminate the results of mapping and research findings as an aid to program development and to collaborations inside and outside the University • Supervise and coordinate the work of designated students • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Education/Training/Experience: Candidates with diverse educational and experiential backgrounds are encouraged to apply. This includes candidates with a Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of experience, a master’s degree with 2 years of experience or recent Ph.D. student.

Skills: • Communicate well and employ outstanding interpersonal skills with collaborators from diverse backgrounds. • Prioritize work effectively, be responsive to deadlines and feedback, and have time and task management skills. • Demonstrate excellent written communication skills.
