POSITION DESCRIPTIONThe Department of Mathematics (https://math.ucsd.edu), within the Division of Physical Sciences at the University of California, San Diego, is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body. We invite applications for an Excellence search at the Assistant Professor level in the area of Mathematical Biology. The position is subject to availability of funding. Teaching in mathematics and related topics will be expected. Ideally, candidates will have skills and interest in teaching lecture courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Candidate must have a Ph.D. in Mathematics or a closely related field prior to the start date. Preferred qualifications A successful candidate should have a well-articulated plan of contributing to programs that increase the access and success of underrepresented students and faculty in the sciences.
