The SLAC Elementary Particle Physics Theory group expects to make Research Associate postdoctoral appointments for a 3-year term beginning October 1, 2024 or earlier. The senior members of our group are: Lance Dixon, Alexander Friedland, Rebecca Leane, Bernhard Mistlberger, Michael Peskin, Thomas Rizzo, Philip Schuster and Natalia Toro. The interests of our group cover all areas of particle physics, quantum field theory, and the interface of particle physics and astroparticle physics.
Prior to starting the position, successful applicants must provide evidence of a PhD degree in theoretical physics, or confirmation of completion of the PhD degree requirements.
We have strong ties to experimental groups interested in high energy collider physics and particle astrophysics, as well as to theoretical groups at Stanford University and the Kavli Institute for Particle Astrophysics and Cosmology. Applications should include a cover letter, a CV, a statement of research interests, a publication list, and the names of three senior physicists who will provide letters of recommendation. SLAC is an affirmative action, equal opportunity employer. We should receive your application before December 1, 2023. https://theory.slac.stanford.edu/ |
