Position Description
Full-time faculty and/or full-time instructor position(s) of any rank in Media and Communications, Department of Media and Visual Arts Koç University, Istanbul Koç University's Department of Media and Visual Arts (MAVA) invites applications for full-time open-rank faculty and instructor positions to start in September 2024. Qualifications and Position Responsibilities For the full-time faculty position, at the time of employment, candidates should have a Ph.D. in media studies or a related field. Areas of specialization are open, but candidates specializing in emerging media, media and culture industries, media and politics, platform studies, television and film studies, sound studies, and strategic communication are particularly encouraged to apply. Successful candidates are expected to have an active research agenda. Applicants whose research is interdisciplinary and who conduct research with diverse approaches, including qualitative, historical, or computational methods, are strongly encouraged to apply. Successful candidates will teach two courses per semester (such as Media Research Methods, Introduction to Media and Communication, and Media and Culture Industries). Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. For the full-time instructor position, at the time of employment, candidates should have a PhD in media studies or related fields.
