Position Description

The High-Energy Phenomenology group at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem is looking to hire several postdoctoral fellows, starting Fall 2024. We invite applicants interested in all fields of hep-ph, hep-th and gr-qc, including physics beyond the standard model, scattering amplitudes, gravitational waves from black hole inspirals, hard problems in quantum field theory, dark matter, and particle cosmology. The Hebrew University has a strong and exciting research program with interests in all fields of high-energy phenomenology and theory. The high-energy phenomenology group includes faculty members Yonit Hochberg, Eric Kuflik and Ofri Telem, and enjoys close interactions with theory faculty members Shmuel Elitzur, Amit Giveon, Barak Kol, Eliezer Rabinovici and Misha Smolkin, and with the astrophysics group as well. There are weekly joint seminars in particle physics and theory among all groups in Israel. Postdocs can expect to interact frequently with the greater Israel high-energy community.

Prospective candidates should submit a CV, research statement, publication list, and at least 3 letters of recommendation. Applications should be received by February 17, 2024, for full consideration.

Applications will also be considered for the Azrieli International Postdoctoral Fellowship: https://azrielifoundation.org/fellows/internationalpostdoctoral/

Application Materials Required:
Submit the following items online at this website to complete your application:
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Research statement
  • Publication list
  • Three or more reference letters (to be submitted online by the reference writers on this site help popup)
And anything else requested in the position description.
