Position Description
The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Uppsala University is opening a postdoctoral position in the area of electroweak and Higgs physics beyond the Standard Model, the electroweak phase transition, gravitational waves, cosmology and string theory.Requirements
PhD degree in physics, theoretical physics, particle physics or similar, or a foreign degree equivalent to a PhD degree in these subjects. The degree needs to be obtained by the time of the decision of employment. Advanced theoretical physics knowledge, in particular in quantum field theory and general relativity, is necessary. Experience of particle physics or astroparticle physics phenomenology and/or cosmology are required. Competence in numerical approaches to the physics processes of interest would be advantageous. Applications should include a brief description of research interests and past experience, a CV as well as a list of publications.
About the employment
The employment is a temporary position of 2 years. Starting date is 1 September 2024 or as agreed. Placement: Ångström laboratory, Uppsala, Sweden.
