Position Description
The Nuclear/Particle Theory Group of the Department of Physics at Washington University in St. Louis expects to offer a postdoctoral position which will begin around September 1, 2024. The position will be a year-to-year appointment, with a duration of up to 3 years depending on performance and funding. Washington University policy limits postdoctoral roles to a maximum length of five years, and prior experience at another institution counts toward the University’s five-year limit. The postdoc is expected to work with Prof. Mark Alford on nuclear/quark matter in neutron stars. Other relevant faculty include Wim Dickhoff, Saori Pastore, Maria Piarulli, Francesc Ferrer, Bhupal Dev, and Mike Ogilvie.
