Position Description
Four principal investigators — Wenlan Chen, Jiazhong Hu from the physics department of Tsinghua University, Yingfei Gu and Hui Zhai from the Institute for Advanced Study at Tsinghua University — form an experimental-theoretical joint force on developing Rydberg atom array based quantum computation and simulation. This collaboration invites applications for the postdoctoral fellow position. This collaboration focuses on both the experimental realization of the atom array platform and the theoretical studies range from proposals for simulating quantum many-body physics to ideas for implementing fault-tolerant universal quantum computations and applications of quantum computation. This collaboration emphasizes the mutual enhancement between theoretical and experimental efforts. The postdoctoral fellows are appointed to two-year terms with a possible extension of one more year. The yearly salary for the postdoctoral fellow is competitive. A candidate must have a Ph.D. prior to the start of the position.
