Position Description


We seek candidates interested in CMB data analysis and simulation. The position is supported by JSPS Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (S) 22H04945 ”Mysterious Accelerating Expansions of the Universe - Solving the Problems with Advanced Cosmic Microwave Background Telescopes -.”

The term of this position is until March 31, 2027, with a salary comparable to QUP postdoctoral fellows supported by the WPI program. The successful candidate will work primarily on the CMB data analysis with POLARBEAR-2, POLARBEAR, and Simons Array. As a broader impact, the candidate will also contribute to related pipeline development and simulation for the LiteBIRD satellite. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Physics or a related field by the time the appointment begins.

The position will be at KEK, with Prof. Masashi Hazumi, a QUP PI, as a supervisor. The successful candidate will collaborate with Dr. Masaya Hasegawa, Dr. Yuji Chinone, and Dr. Satoru Takakura. They are also encouraged to collaborate with other scientists at QUP to contribute to interdisciplinary research at QUP.
