Position Description
The QCD group at Duke University anticipates an opening for a Research Associate. The research group currently consists of the three faculty, two postdocs and 4 graduate students. Topics of interest include perturbative QCD, Quark-Gluon-Plasma Phenomenology, Transport Theory of Relativistic Heavy-Ion Collisions, Jet physics, and all areas of QCD with applications related to the Heavy-Ion program at RHIC and LHC. The successful candidate is expected to actively engage with other members of the group and participate in the mentoring of the graduate students. This position requires a Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate. Candidates are explicitly asked to outline in their research statement how their research will fit with or complement the current research by the Duke QCD group led by Steffen A. Bass, Thomas Mehen, and Berndt Mueller.
