The Sherwood lab in the Biology Department at Duke University is looking to hire a postdoctoral associate for project involving studies on cell invasion and mitochondrial biology using the C. elegans model system. The research encompasses quantitative live imaging, genome editing, RNAi, targeted protein knockdown, and live imaging sensors. The successful applicant will also have the opportunity to mentor graduate students and work in a highly collaborative environment.

Min Degree Requirements: Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate Other Credential/Experiential Requirements: The incumbent must be a true post-doctoral fellow registered with the Post Doc Office and per the following requirements: o The term of this appointment is limited (5 year) o The appointment involves substantially full-time research or scholarship, which may include teaching responsibilities. o The appointment is viewed as preparatory for a full time academic or research career. o The appointee works under the supervision of a scholar or a department at Duke University. o The appointee has the freedom, and is expected to publish the results of his or her research or scholarship during the period of the appointment
