Position Description

Job Title: Associate in Research Length of Commitment: 3 months Start Date June 1, 2024 end date August 31, 2024

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

Language Requirement: English (fluent)

Qualifying candidates will be graduates of a well-regarded Masters Program in economics and related fields.

Some prior research experience is preferred but not required. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required for the position, but a master’s degree is preferred.

Job Responsibilities: • Collecting, cleaning, and analyzing large datasets • Creating visualizations and reports • Conducting literature reviews and summarizing key findings in reports or presentations • Running Monte Carlo simulations • Programming new statistical packages

Strong candidates will also possess: • Strong quantitative and statistical skills; • Significant coursework and experience in economics; • Excellent organizational, communication, and writing skills; • Genuine interest in economics, policy, and research; • A positive attitude and be flexible, self-motivating, able to manage multiple tasks efficiently, and a team player; • The ability to handle several different projects/tasks at one time, successfully complete tasks assigned, and meet deadlines; • A willingness and desire to work hard and learn.
