Sociology Job Description

The Department of Sociology at Duke University in Durham, NC invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning July 1, 2025. We seek scholars who have an outstanding research program and the ability to teach in our undergraduate and graduate programs. Applicants should submit: 1) a cover letter that describes their research interests and accomplishments, plans for future research, and approach to supporting a diverse and inclusive research environment; 2) one published or unpublished writing sample, and 3) a curriculum vitae that includes the names and contact information of three references.
