2025 GLAM Postdoctoral Fellowship Competition
Stanford University

The 2025 GLAM Postdoctoral Fellowship Program is now open to receive applications. This annual program recruits young and promising scientists to work in the Geballe Laboratory for Advanced Materials (GLAM) at Stanford University. New Fellows are competitively selected each year to achieve GLAM’s strategic goals of inclusive research excellence.

The appointment includes two years of support with a starting salary of $80,000 and benefits, with $5,000 per year in discretionary funds to cover research and/or travel expenses. The competition is open to all researchers within the broad materials science field, including to both theorists and experimentalists.

Candidates must submit a curriculum vitae including a full publication list, plus a two-page research statement that details proposed research and possible collaborations within GLAM. Candidates must also identify one host faculty within GLAM with whom they have discussed their proposed research, and who must submit a nomination letter on their behalf. Candidates must also submit two letters of recommendation from individuals not affiliated with GLAM.

The deadline for applications for the 2025‐2027 competition will be 11:59pm PST on Thursday, October 31st, 2024, with offers made in early-December. Appointments will begin between June – December 2025.
