Title: Postdoctoral Fellow

Hiring Unit: Department of Physics and Astronomy

Location: University of Hawaii at Manoa

Closing Date: December 1st 2024

Salary Information: Commensurate with experience and qualifications

Full Time/Part Time: Full Time

Temporary/Permanent: Temporary

Other Conditions: The initial term of this position is for two years. Renewal for a further year is possible subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Duties and Responsibilities: Perform research in the areas of gravitation and cosmology, broadly defined. Candidates with experience in the following areas are particularly encouraged to apply:

- Dark energy

- The Hubble tension

- Dark matter in celestial objects

- Gravitational wave astronomy and its applications to new physics

- Modified Gravity

Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must hold (or be about to complete) a Ph.D. in theoretical physics, cosmology, gravitation, or any area related to those above.
