Position Description:
   

The Quantum Information Center and Center for Complex Quantum Systems at UT Austin invites applications for two postdoctoral positions in Quantum Information Science and Quantum Many-Body Physics, under the supervision of Scott Aaronson, Nick Hunter-Jones, and Matteo Ippoliti, to begin in Fall 2025. The position will also be affiliated with the Texas Quantum Institute.

We invite applications from diverse areas of theoretical physics and theoretical computer science, especially quantum information and computation, quantum complexity theory, quantum dynamics/non-equilibrium physics, and quantum simulation. Applications from candidates interested in the intersection of different subfields are especially encouraged.

Other UT faculty with overlapping research interests include Allan MacDonald, Junyeong Ahn, Mit Naik (condensed matter theory), Elena Caceres, Jacques Distler, Andreas Karch (high energy theory), Poulami Das (quantum architecture), Shyam Shankar, Edoardo Baldini, Linran Fan, Keji Lai, Leo Li (quantum experiment). Collaborations with the broader quantum community at UT are encouraged.

Postdoctoral appointments are expected to begin in Fall 2025. The term of the appointment is two years, renewable for a third year. The positions will have a competitive stipend and research/travel budget.
