Medical Dosimetrist Job Summary We are looking for an individual to join our Medical Dosimetrist Professional Masters Program to teach medical dosimetry courses and supervise students during clinical training at Fox Chase Cancer Center (FCCC). The supervisor needs to work closely with medical dosimetrists, medical physicists, radiation oncologists and radiation therapists at FCCC. Dosimetrist Duties and Responsibilities · Teaching medical dosimetry courses to Medical Dosimetry Masters students in the Department of Physics, Temple University. The teaching duties will consist of 3 credit hours per semester. · Cooperate with medical dosimetrists at FCCC to supervise the students during clinical training at FCCC. · Take part in medical dosimetrist duties at FCCC (ie. treatment planning, etc.). · Monitor students’ progress during clinical training Dosimetrist Requirements and Qualifications · BS in medical dosimetry or related field. · Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB) certification. · At least 5 years of experience in medical dosimetry. · Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and procedures, radiation therapy simulation and treatment techniques and medical terminology. · Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills. · Able to work with diverse populations. · Proficient with radiation therapy treatment planning software.
