Position Description
The research group of Prof. Junyeong Ahn in the Department of Physics at the University of Texas at Austin invites applications for a postdoctoral position in Condensed Matter Theory. We invite applications from candidates interested in pursuing innovative research in quantum materials and quantum optics, especially at their intersection. Areas of interest include but are not limited to topological phases of matter, superconductivity, strong correlations in electronic systems, nonlinear responses, Floquet engineering, and cavity quantum electrodynamics. Ideal candidates should have a strong background in theoretical modeling of quantum matter and its analytical as well as numerical studies. Candidates must have a Ph. D. in theoretical condensed matter physics or other closely related fields. The initial appointment is for 1 year, and extensions up to 2 additional years are contingent upon funding and performance.
