The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences at the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, invites applications for an academic position at the rank of a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the area of Computational Condensed Matter Physics. 

We are seeking an individual to work on developing quantum algorithms for simulating quantum many body systems, focusing on topological phases and phase transitions in quantum spin systems. The candidate will also have the freedom to pursue independent projects and the opportunity to interact closely with a big and active community of researchers working on various aspects of quantum information theory and quantum computation. The position is for two years with the possibility for renewal for a third year. Salary is competitive as per international standards and comes with medical insurance and other benefits.

Qualifications:

Required:

      •  Ph.D. in Condensed Matter Physics, Quantum Information theory or a related field.

Preferred:

     •  Previous experience with Quantum algorithms, many body physics.
