Position Description

Postdoctoral Fellow Duke Divinity School OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY The primary responsibility of the Postdoctoral Fellow is to plan, coordinate, and administer the ongoing research and community engagement activities of the project. The Postdoctoral Fellow reports to the faculty Principal Investigators of the project. The Postdoctoral Fellow is a 30 hr/week (75% FTE) position, term limited January 1, 2025- September 30, 2025. This position is funded 100% by a grant. WORK PERFORMED Coordinate and implement the Bass Connections Developing Best Practices for Trauma-Informed Teaching and Learning Project •Meet weekly with project co-Principal Investigators to plan and coordinate the project. •Lead weekly project team and small group meetings. •Facilitate analysis of project data, both directly and by teaching and advising students in methods of data analysis. •Lead interviews and/or focus groups of Duke faculty •Collaborate with Duke Campus Institutional Review Board on approval and oversight of research protocols. •Communicate with student team members about their work on the project •Participate in the drafting, submission, and publication of academic journal articles and other written reports related to the work of the project. •Meet with faculty, administrators, and student leaders to promote the development and implementation of trauma-informed teaching practices in the university.

MINIMUM HIRING SPECIFICATIONS Training: Work requires analytical, communications and organizational skills generally acquired through doctoral training in trauma-informed practices and qualitative research methodology. Experience: Work requires prior experience in qualitative research as well as prior experience that demonstrates skills necessary to plan, coordinate and implement a variety of program activities and events.
