Position Description
The Pratt School of Engineering, Institute for Enterprise Engineering at Duke University is seeking an Adjunct Instructor to serve as faculty-mentor for their Master of Engineering in AI for Product Innovation program. Coaching sessions will be provided to teams of students completing an industry project as part of the core curriculum. This position is expected to be part time.
This is a temporary one-year appointment with extension possible based on needs.
Candidate should have relevant background in the topics of interest or more than 5 years of professional experience in the areas of software development and AI/ML.
The successful candidate for this role will be expected to:
- Assist with the design, organization, and delivery of one or two lectures and workshops per semester.
- Collaborate with the faculty member and/or program director responsible for the course
- Mentor students in the class and respond to student issues throughout the semester
- Assist with multiple types of assessments of student performance in the course
- Meet with student teams on a weekly basis, provide academic advising, and industry specific coaching and advice
Adjunct Instructor is a non-regular rank faculty position.
