Position Description

The Department of Romance Studies at Duke University is seeking a qualified instructor in Spanish for a one-year appointment. Qualifications requested for candidates: ABD or PhD in second language acquisition, applied linguistics, language pedagogy, or related areas. This is a full-time position (5 courses per year) with competitive salary and benefits. We seek candidates with a demonstrated excellence in teaching and curriculum design, a proven ability to work effectively in teams, and a strong interest in working with undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds.
