Position Description
The Physics Department of Ariel University, Israel, invites applications for a postdoctoral; position in lattice quantum field theory/quantum Monte-Carlo. The starting date is in 2026 and is negotiable. We are looking for the researcher with experience in numerical lattice simulations in high energy physics and/or condensed matter physics. Experience in C++ is a preference. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Prof.Mikhail Zubkov: https://www.ariel.ac.il/wp/mikhail-zubkov/ The particular interest is in • the numerical lattice simulations of the models in solid state physics • development of the existing C++ code library • applications of the above mentioned simulations to the description of the topological phenomena at the interface between relativistic quantum field theory and condensed matter physics The essential part of the program is collaboration with Dr. Maksim Ulybyshev (Wurzburg University, Germany), which includes, in particular, short term scientific visits to Wurzburg University intended at the establishing of collaboration and studying simulations with dynamical fermions.
