The Department of Chemistry, in collaboration with Koç University Hydrogen Technologies Center (KUHyTech: https://kuhytech.ku.edu.tr/), in Istanbul, Türkiye, invites applications for a full-time faculty position. We seek a highly motivated candidate with expertise and a documented track record of outstanding research in the chemistry of green energy with potential to be applied to hydrogen technologies, encompassing production, storage, and utilization; especially in the area of membrane technologies for energy applications. The ideal candidate will complement and expand the Department of Chemistry and KUHyTech’s current research activities, which include polymeric and nanostructured materials, organic chemistry, solid-state chemistry, surface science, catalysis, electro-photo-thermo-chemical energy conversion, and theoretical chemistry. Post-doctoral experience is required for candidates at the Assistant Professor level. The successful candidate’s research is expected to align closely with KUHyTech’s mission, driving innovation in hydrogen and energy-related technologies. Faculty members in Turkish Universities are eligible to apply for European Union Marie-Curie Actions and Turkish Science Foundation TUBITAK 2232 International Fellowship for Outstanding Researchers Program. Candidates are expected to develop a competitive research program and to teach both undergraduate and graduate-level courses. The medium of teaching is English. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience. University housing or rental subsidy, and K-12 education subsidy will be provided.
