Position Description

The Macalester College Chemistry Department invites applications for a full-time, one-year visiting position to begin Fall of 2025. The position is renewable for an additional year. This full-time position will primarily involve teaching organic chemistry lecture and laboratory classes, with contributions to general chemistry as needed.  The Chemistry Department is ACS-approved, committed to excellence in teaching and research, and has nine full-time faculty members. 


Applicants should have a Ph.D. or ABD in chemistry or a closely related field. Information on benefits and compensation is provided below. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. In addition, candidates relying on an OPT Visa with a STEM extension are not eligible for hire.
