One Postdoctoral Researcher PositionMathematical Physics and AI Group, Department of Mathematical Sciences, UNIST
The “Mathematical Physics and AI” research group led by Professor Rak-Kyeong Seong at the Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST) in South Korea invites candidates for one postdoctoral position starting on June 1, 2025 (negotiable).
The successful applicant is expected to conduct research in the following research fields:
- Quantum Field Theory, String Theory and Mathematical Physics
- Machine Learning / AI Applications in Mathematical and Theoretical Physics
The initial appointment is for 2 years (1+1 years; UNIST contracts are officially 1 year long) and is extendable upon performance review (for up to an additional 1 year).
UNIST is the newest of the four institutes of science and technology in South Korea (including KAIST, GIST and DGIST). The group led by Professor Rak-Kyeong Seong is one of the leading research groups internationally in applying machine learning techniques to Quantum Field Theory, String Theory and Mathematical Physics.
