Position Description
The Institute of Theoretical Physics at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant professor level. We are seeking a candidate specializing in one of the following research areas:
- Mathematical physics, including algebraic structures in quantum theory, mathematical foundations of quantum field theory, spectral theory and operator methods
- Theoretical condensed matter physics and nanophysics
- Quantum many-body theory
- Quantum gases theory
- Quantum simulators
- Physical aspects of quantum information
The successful candidate will be expected to conduct an outstanding research program in theoretical physics and contribute to teaching at all levels. We offer stable employment based on an employment contract at a renowned university, as well as the opportunity to collaborate within an interdisciplinary academic community that includes well-known scientists.
Candidates must hold a PhD in physics or a related field.
Duration of employment: 33 months, starting from October 1, 2025.
