Position Description
The theoretical high energy group at the Institute of Theoretical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences at Beijing (ITP-CAS, http://english.itp.cas.cn/about/profile/) invite applicants for one or more postdoctoral positions, starting on Fall 2026 or earlier. Institute of Theoretical Physics has total 39 faculty working on theoretical physics, including over fifteen faculty working on HEP phenomenology and theory, such as scattering amplitudes, effective field theory, beyond the standard model, QCD, hadronic physics, and particle cosmology. The appointment is initially for two years with possibility of extending to the third year depending on performance and funding. The candidates are expected to have experiences on one or more following research directions: effective field theory, scattering amplitudes, precision QCD and electroweak calculation, and quantum field theory application to particle cosmology, etc. The outstanding candidate could also be considered as Research associates (at the level of non-tenure assistant professor, through CAS Special Research Assistants’ program). The review will start as early as Jan. 01, 2026, and the deadline of accepting materials would be Jan. 15, 2026.
