American Politics

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Department of Political Science in Cambridge MA invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in American Politics at the rank of Assistant Professor effective July 1st, 2026, or as soon thereafter as possible. Responsibilities include research, graduate and undergraduate teaching, and student research supervision. Applicants should have a PhD degree in Political Science or a related field by start of employment. The Department offers supportive mentorship to junior faculty and instructors, an exceptional environment for political science inquiry, and a strong commitment to an inclusive, welcoming culture.
