Postdoctoral Associate in Synthetic/Medicinal Chemistry

About Us: Located within the prestigious Duke University, our research lab is at the forefront of innovation in synthetic organic and medicinal chemistry and chemical biology, with a focus on natural product synthesis and structure-based ligand design. We are dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge and developing novel solutions in chemical synthesis, chemical probe development, and drug discovery. We invite highly motivated individuals to join our dynamic team as Postdoctoral Associates.
Scope of Work:
• Lead the design and synthesis of novel chemical entities.
• Optimize reaction conditions and processes for the synthesis of lead compounds.
• Perform detailed analysis and characterization of synthesized compounds using advanced techniques such as NMR, MS, and HPLC.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive drug discovery and development projects.
• Prepare and publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals.
Qualifications:
• Ph.D. in Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, or a related field.
• Strong background in organic synthesis and/or medicinal chemistry.
• Proficiency in modern analytical techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and scientific communication abilities.
