Postdoctoral Research Associate - Digital Health and Network Multi-omics Lab 

The Digital Health and Network Multi-omics Lab at Boston University is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Associate with a strong analytical background to join our research program in systems epidemiology and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM). Our group integrates epidemiologic data with multi-omics and digital health technologies to advance understanding of nutrition, metabolism, and cardiometabolic disease risk. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead data-driven projects that leverage multi-omics and CGM-derived glycemic metrics within the Framingham Heart Study. The role also offers opportunities for cross-disciplinary collaboration, authorship of publications, presentations at scientific meetings, and mentoring of graduate and undergraduate trainees. 

The postdoctoral associate will be supported for up to two years, dependent on continued availability of funding and performance, in accordance with the Boston University Postdoctoral Compensation Guidelines and the Postdoctoral Scholars Policy. To be considered, applicants must hold a PhD in epidemiology, biostatistics, computational biology, or a related field and a record of peer-reviewed publications. Experience with multi-omics datasets, metagenomics and/or digital health data is highly desirable. Skills and qualifications 
  • A PhD in epidemiology, biostatistics, computational biology, or a related field.
  • A strong computational background and expertise in dealing with large datasets, including multi-omics and ideally CGM. 
  • Prior experience in machine learning and AI methods are preferred  
  • Strong skills in R and/or Python. 
  • An interest in conceiving and designing new projects, in line with the groups’ research focuses. 
  • A proven track record showing scientific productivity in peer-reviewed journals. 
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken, and ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams.
