The MIT Statistics and Data Science Center at IDSS is seeking applicants for the Norbert Wiener postdoctoral fellowship. Qualified candidates will have backgrounds and interests in the broad areas of Statistics ranging from theoretical focus to applications of Statistics in various domains in Engineering, Management, Science, Life Science and Social Science. Duties will include performing independent research in statistics and leading activities within IDSS. Fellows will be matched with a faculty member in the Statistics and Data Science Center who will provide career advice and serve as a mentor. This will be a one-year appointment beginning on September 1, 2026 or a later, mutually agreed upon date, with the possibility of renewal for a second year based upon satisfactory performance. Job Requirements Required: Ph.D. (expected or obtained) in Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Operations Research or related fields; strong analytical and written communication skills, ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary environment and commitment to participating in IDSS activities.
