Position Description

The University of Wisconsin-Madison Physics Department invites applications for a postdoctoral position on CMB and Large-Scale Structure cosmology, with an anticipated start date in Summer 2026. The postdoc will be working in the research group of Prof Moritz Muenchmeyer. A particular topic of interest are kSZ observations with Simons Observatory in cross-correlation with galaxy surveys, but the postdoc will also be flexible to pursue other interests. More info about our group can be found here: https://munchmeyer.physics.wisc.edu/

The position is initially funded for two years and will be extended to a third year depending on availability of funds and performance. The postdoc will have the opportunity to interact and work with the broad spectrum of cosmology, high-energy physics and AI for science researchers at UW Madison. Experience with data analysis of CMB or Large-Scale Structure experiments is recommended. Our group is also very active in AI for science, and an interest in this topic is a bonus.
