Position Description

The high energy theory group at the University of Oklahoma invites applications for a postdoctoral position to begin in August 2026. The initial appointment is for one year, with annual extensions based on satisfactory performance and availability of funds, up to a maximum of three years.

The high energy theory group currently consists of faculty members Prof. Howie Baer, Prof. Chung Kao, and Prof. Kuver Sinha, as well as postdoctoral researchers Dr. Fazlollah Hajkarim, Dr. Kungfeng Lyu, and Dr. Kairui Zhang. The interests of the members are in particle physics phenomenology, astroparticle physics, early universe cosmology, dark matter, BSM collider phenomenology, supersymmetry, Higgs physics, and string phenomenology. The candidate will be expected to conduct research in theoretical high energy physics, mentor students in the group, and help maintain an active seminar and journal club schedule.
