Position Description
The University of California, Irvine Department of Physics and Astronomy anticipates making up to two offers for Postdoctoral Scholar positions in both theoretical particle and astroparticle physics beginning in September 2026. We are seeking candidates whose expertise lies in astroparticle physics, beyond the Standard Model physics, collider physics, cosmology, and neutrino physics. The theory group faculty members include Kevork Abazajian, Mu-Chun Chen, Jonathan Feng, Manoj Kaplinghat, Shirley Li, Arvind Rajaraman, Michael Ratz, Yuri Shirman, and Tim Tait. The group is complemented by large and diverse experimental particle physics and astrophysics groups; see https://ps.uci.edu/~theory/ for additional information. The successful applicant(s) will have a Ph.D. degree; salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, a statement of research interests, a list of publications, and at least three letters of reference.
