Position Description
The Theoretical Physics Group at the Shing-Tung Yau Center of Southeast University invites applications for postdoctoral positions starting in 2026. Candidates in all research areas of high energy and mathematical physics are welcome, with preference given to those whose interests overlap with our current group members. Our center is a recently established research institute in mathematics and physics, located in central Nanjing, China. The current faculty members are Jie Gu, Yunfeng Jiang, Zhijin Li, Hai Lin, Zhengwen Liu, Tadashi Okazaki, Ryo Suzuki, Qiang Wen, and Jianfei Xu. Our research interests include: gauge/gravity dualities, supersymmetric gauge theory, conformal bootstrap, scattering amplitudes, Feynman integrals, gravitational-wave theory and perturbative QCD, integrability, quantum information, topological strings, and resurgence. We maintain close collaborations with faculty in School of Mathematics. The postdoctoral appointment is for 3 years, with an annual review. Salaries range from 200,000–300,000 RMB (approx. 28,000–42,000 USD) per annum, depending on qualifications.
