National Taiwan University, Leung Center for Cosmology and Astroparticle Physics
Position Description
The Leung Center for Cosmology and Particle Astrophysics (LeCosPA) in Taiwan invites applications for several postdoctoral positions starting in the Fall of 2026. We are looking for researchers with a strong track record in any area of cosmology, astroparticle physics and theoretical high-energy physics. The positions will be under the supervision of Prof. Daniel Baumann, but the successful applicants will be free to pursue their own research programs and collaborate with any of the faculty, postdocs and students in the group.About the Max Planck-IAS-NTU Center
The Max Planck-IAS-NTU Center (MPC) is new interdisciplinary initiative of the Max Planck Society (MPG) in Germany, the Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) in Princeton, USA, and the National Taiwan University (NTU) in Taipei, Taiwan. The Center aims to create an interdisciplinary research hub, uniting experts in mathematics, particle physics, and cosmology to develop a novel framework for describing the universe at all scales. The initial funding period covers five years. The MPC is co-directed by Nima Arkani-Hamed (IAS), Johannes Henn (MPP), and Daniel Baumann (NTU). More information can be found here.
About LeCosPA
LeCosPA is a research center at National Taiwan University (NTU). It was founded in 2007 with the generous support of Chee-Chun Leung (Quanta Computers Inc.). In 2018, LeCosPA moved into its current home in the Cosmology Hall on the NTU campus. Members of LeCosPA study a wide range of topics, from the initial conditions of the Big Bang to the formation of the large-scale structure in the late universe (and many things in between). The center contains both groups focussing on theoretical research and groups performing experiments (observations). More information on LeCosPA’s research priority areas can be found on the center's website.
