Position Description
The particle theory group at the Jožef Stefan Institute in Ljubljana, Slovenia invites outstanding young researchers to apply for a post-doctoral position(s). The areas of interest include grand unification, supersymmetric and extra-dimensional models, flavor physics and CP violation, baryon and lepton number violation, Higgs physics, particle dynamics in the early Universe, collider phenomenology, applications of machine learning to particle phenomenology, and lattice QCD, both within the Standard Model and beyond. The particle physics phenomenology group members are: J. F. Kamenik (head), B. Bajc, S. Fajfer, N. Košnik, L. Leskovec, M. Nemevšek, S. Prelovšek Komelj, A. Smolkovič, L. Ubaldi. The two-year position starts in the fall of 2026 and lasts until the fall of 2028, with a possible one-year extension. Actual number of positions depends on the approved project funding. Eligible candidates should hold a PhD degree in Theoretical Particle Physics at the time of the position start. Applications must include a CV, a list of publications, a statement of research interests and recommendation letters of at least two senior scientists.
